Pittsburgh- The
Pittsburgh mayoral race has entered the petitioning period and 18 year old
mayoral candidate Josh Pollock is confident that he can reach his goal of 500
signatures (250 are required.) He will
be hitting the streets, concerts and going door to door in the next three weeks
to get the signatures as well as utilizing a group of volunteers.
Pollock will speak Friday morning at The Allegheny
Intermediate Unit and Friday night will perform Spoken Word Poetry at The Rea
Coffee House at Chatham College. At
both of these events he will have his petitions. He will begin to go to door to door around his house today
following his normal school day, and hopes to branch out into different
neighborhoods next week. He will be in
The Strip District Saturday with a team of volunteers as well as with
Republican Mayoral Candidate Mark Rauterkus who will be seeking republican
signatures for his own petitions.
Monday, Pollock will collect signatures at an Anti- Death Penalty talk
at CMU. Several volunteers have already
begun to gather signatures on there own as well. Pollock has offered a free Josh For Mayor T-shirt to any one who
collects at least 15 signatures.
The deadline for the petitions is Tuesday 6 March. Pollock intends to file the petitions before
the deadline. More plans are always
brewing from the Josh For Mayor Campaign, and are announced via
www.JoshForMayor.com and mass emails.
