Pittsburgh- 18-year-old mayoral candidate filed over 370 signatures today
with The Allegheny County Election Board.
250 valid signatures are required to be placed on the primary
ballot. Pollock and his Special Agent
Numero Uno were forced to make a last minute filing as Pittsburgh CAPA, the
high school they both attend has the longest school day of any of Pittsburgh
Public School’s High Schools and does not let out until 3:40 PM. The deadline to file was 4:30 PM.
Pollock hopes that people will see today’s filing as more proof of his
seriousness and legitimacy as a candidate.
“We believe that we have enough valid signatures to get on the ballot
and once I am on I hope that proves my legitimacy as a candidate.
Pollock (along with 2 of his bands: Joybox and Five8Five)
will be performing this Saturday at Coolpeppers Hothouse, the same venue that
he announced his candidacy at in January.
Thursday, Joybox will open for several touring bands at The Millvale Industrial
Theater. Both shows start at 7.
Next Saturday Pollock
will appear on the radio show Open Reality on 860AM. The show is from 9-11 AM.
Also appearing on the show will be Leroy Hodge, another candidate for
the democratic nomination.
