We used the High-Pressure Water Tunnel (created by Bob Warzinski and Ronnie Lynn) to simulate the rise of a CH 4 or an oil bubble from the sea floor to the sea surface by gradually lowering the pressure in the Water Tunnel. This work was funded by the Department of Interior Bureau of Safety ani Environmental Enforcement (BSEE). I used the technology I invented and patented (US Patent 8,391,552) to track hydrate small (<100 m) hydrates to map the flow field around the larger hydrate bubbles captured in the viewing window.
