The New Person Award 2002 Event

The New Person Award is an annual event honoring local activists with a commitment to peace and justice in Southwestern Pennsylvania.

 

The award will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2002 from 7-10 pm in the Welker Room of the James Laughlin Music Center on the Chatham College campus.  Click here for directions.  This year we will be honoring youth activism – high school students who have shown leadership in working for peace and justice. The Awardees are:

The evening will offer inspiring poetry, fine appetizers, and live music by Mike Stout. There will be a silent auction featuring the works of local Pittsburgh artists. The peaceful, beautific ambience of the Chatham College campus will provide the perfect setting for an evening you won’t forget.
