HOW YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE:

Urgent Needs!
The following items are urgently needed to improve the day-to-day operation of the Thomas Merton Center:
Computers:

  • We need a few more computers for our staff.  If you'd like to donate a computer, we ask that it be at least a Pentium III operating at 300 MHz or faster and with Windows 98 or newer operating system.

Software:

  • Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Photoshop Elements
  • Adobe Pagemaker version 6.5 or newer.

Misc:

  • We need a modern cash register for our store

We bring people together to work for peace and social justice.  Many people call the Center eager to be involved in building a world of peace based on justice but are unsure of where to start.  Below is a listing of contacts for many of the issues and organizations that the Thomas Merton Center is heavily involved in.

"I am against war, against violence, against violent revolution, for peaceful settlement of differences, for nonviolent but nevertheless radical changes. Change is needed, and violence will not really change anything: at most it will only transfer power from one set of bull-beaded authorities to another."  Thomas Merton
